Dink Club Community Guidelines

Welcome to the Dink Club! Our community is built on respect, integrity, and a shared passion for pickleball. Please read and adhere to the following guidelines to ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for all members.

1. Integrity and Honesty
- Sportsmanship: Always play fairly and with integrity.
- Respect for Rules: Follow the official USPA rules.
- Line Calls:Only call balls out if you are 100% sure. The closest person to the ball or if there are 2 people in the same vicinity then person with the best angle should make the call. No arguing or intentional calling out of bounce as a result of a disagreement on the call. Please maintain the integrity of the game.

2. Seriousness of Play
- Commitment: Show dedication to improving your skills.
- Participation: Engage actively in club activities, including matches and practices.
- Focus: Maintain focus and seriousness during play to respect others' time and efforts.

3. No Politics
- Neutral Ground: Keep discussions focused on pickleball and related topics. Avoid political debates.
- Inclusivity: Respect diverse opinions and backgrounds.
- Harmonious Environment: Foster a welcoming and cooperative atmosphere.

4. Respecting Each Other
- Courtesy: Treat all members with respect and kindness.
- Constructive Feedback: Provide and receive feedback graciously.
- Conflict Resolution: Address conflicts calmly and respectfully.
- Privacy: Respect the privacy of fellow members. Do not share personal information without consent.

5. Court Reservations and Attendance
- Reservation Policy: Reserve court space in advance using the club’s booking system.
- Attendance: Show up for your reserved court time or cancel at least 3 hours prior.
- No-Show Policy: Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may result in restrictions on future reservations.

6. Game Rules and Procedures
- USPA Rules: Follow all official USPA rules. The exception is the kitchen line on a serve, where any part of the ball touching the line is considered in.
- Winning by 2: Decide before the match if you will play to win by 2 points. If not decided, the default is to play straight up.
- Switching Sides: Switch sides at 6 points unless both teams agree to either not switch or to switch at the halfway point of the game.

By following these guidelines, we can create a positive and enriching environment for everyone in Dink Club. Let's work together to make our club a place where the love for pickleball thrives and friendships flourish.

Thank you for your cooperation and dedication to our community!
